A community event took place Jan. 20 at Pingshan District Central Park, designed to enhance various aspects of residents’ lives. This vibrant gathering featured a bustling market and an array of activities. With the Chinese New Year approaching in three weeks, the event was infused with a festive air, adding to the excitement for all attendees.

Several government departments from the district, such as the education bureau, civil affairs bureau, science and technology innovation bureau, justice bureau, water affairs bureau, and the culture, radio, television, tourism and sports bureau, established booths to disseminate essential knowledge and policies regarding healthcare, environmental protection, energy conservation, law, education and welfare for the local residents.

Kengzi and Biling subdistricts shared information on civility improvements. Moreover, Maluan Subdistrict invited expatriates to engage in riddle games, write Spring Festival couplets and blessings, and collaborate with Chinese residents in crafting bamboo gifts. These activities have fostered friendship and cultural exchange between the local and expat communities.
